Randy has been tattooing in the San Diego area since 1990, originally running his old Escondido shop for 7 years. Prior to coming to San Diego, Randy started tattooing in the Palm Springs area where he met Col.Todd and Catfish Carl at Custom Tattoo in 29 Palms. Randy says it was guys like those dudes who were kind enough to give him a helping hand and start him in his career… Randy use to ride up there often to hang out and some of these old timers would give him game on what and what not to do as far as what worked for tattooing. Some of the other cool guys from back in the day were Mike the Trike at Empire Tattoo in Rialto…
Soooooo, to say the least, Randy is a very versatile and well rounded artist who is very capable in traditional, old school , new school, fine line, black & grey and oriental designs. Another area Randy is exceptional in is working with really big pieces, with an amazing eye for proportions and positive / negative layout
